BEL organised Webinar on Role of Standards in Quality Improvement

The Bangalore Complex of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) conducted a virtual interactive webinar on ‘Quality Improvement in the Entire Supply Chain - Role of Standards in Quality Improvement’ for its vendors on December 1, 2021, to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

A total of 110 sub-contract vendors from across India, covering all the nine Units of BEL, attended the webinar. Heads of Quality from all the Units and SBUs of BEL were present along with the Corporate Quality team.

Mr Narasimha Kumar S V N, Sr DGM (Corporate Quality), welcomed the participants. Mrs Padma Sharma, Manager (Corporate Standards), conducted the training session. She brought out the Quality aspects regarding following and adopting the various national and international Standards, and emphasized the need for Standards in maintaining quality for processes and products being offered by various sub-contract vendors to BEL.

An interactive Question and Answer session with the vendors followed, which was conducted by Mr Surya Prasad V, Sr DGM (Corporate Quality).

Mr Sankar Subramanian R, GM (Quality), gave the concluding remarks.
