CMPDI organised a seminar on govt support to strengthen CIL
New Delhi: CMPDI organised a seminar on,"Govt. Support to Strengthen Coal India, CIL's Contribution & Future Plans to fulfill the Energy Aspirations of the Nation & Special Vendor Development Program (Buyer -Seller Meet) Program on 29.01.2020 at Koel Hall, CMPDI Campus, Ranchi.
Shri Pradip Kumar GM (MM), CMPDI highlighted the support received and steps taken by the Govt to achieve the aspirational target of 1Billion tonne coal production by 2023-2024, how Coal India is adopting New technologies and heavy Machineries to increase the productivity, security of the work force and also said that Govt. is promoting CMPDI for exploratory cum promotional /regional drilling in Non-CIL coal blocks through Central Sector Schemes through which more coal reserves will be brought under proved category. He stressed that coal will remain crucial to fulfill the energy requirements of the country for more than 100 years from now. Subsequently, CIL will play a key role in the long run and CMPDI will provide its services to the coal sector/industry, accordingly. To provide clean energy resources to the country CMPDI is exploring fields like CBM and Coal Gasification. MoC is also providing funds under S&T scheme for emphasizing on achievement under Research and Development projects.
In the Special Vendor Development Program jointly organized by CMPDI - National SC-ST Hub, Ranchi various special privileges being extended to SC/ST entrepreneurs who are MSE were discussed and encourage them to participate in tenders of goods & services. Queries raised by the participants related to tendering methodologies, their rights and privileges were addressed by the forum. Approximately 90 people representing various MSE were participated in this program apart from CMPDI officials.
On this occasion, Shri S.C. Prasad, GM (S&T), Shri Kumar Shashi Bhushan, HoD (IMS)/Nodal Officer of Social Media of CMPDI; Shri P.K. Gupta, Director, MSME; Shri B.M.L. Das, GM-Cluster Development (DIC); Shri Binod Kumar, Head, NSSHO, Ranchi; Shri Basant Kumar Tirkey, Secretary, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other higher officials of CMPDI were also present.
