New Delhi/Chennai: CPCL's one of the most complex and integrated refineries, the Manali Refinery conducts the Fire Service Day program on 15th April 2021. However, the 14th April 2021 was observed as “MARTYR’S DAY” as a part of Fire Service Week. 


Dr. Sandeep Roy, Commandant, NDRF, Arakkonam was the Chief Guest and in his keynote address, he stressed the importance of following SOPs, Importance of conducting mock drill exercises in disaster management. 

 

D(F) & MD i/c Shri Rajeev Ailawadi presided over the function. During his presidential address, he stressed upon fire prevention initiative and the importance of maintenance of fire protection equipment. He also stressed imparting fire & safety training to all the employees as it is the backbone of fire prevention. He also talked about the significance of observance of fire services day.

 

Shri S.Krishnan, D(O) released the Fire protection manual and Fire order on this occasion. Earlier, Shri G Premchand, CGM (Logistics) administered Fire Service Pledge and one-minute silence was observed.   

 

Shri H.Shankar, D(T), CGMs, Office bearers of collectives, and employees participated in the function. 

Shri R.M.Kshirsagar, DGM (F&S) presented a brief report on the Fire & Safety activities during the year 2020-21.
