NHPC joined fire fighting operations in gamrou Kralpora villages
Bandipora: Kishanganga Power Station (NHPC) is always committed to serve the local community. Often during summer season, fire incidents occur in villages of Bandipora district and NHPC, with its two well-equipped fire tenders, comes to the rescue of the local villagers.
In Bandipora district, on 20.05.2020 (Wednesday), with the rise of temperature, fire incidents occurred in village Gamrou at 16:15 hrs and village Kralpora at 20:20 hrs. District administration sought help of Kishanganga Power Station (NHPC) for the safety of life & property local villagers.
NHPC immediately rushed its fire tender along with fire fighting team to village Gamrou and fire was brought under control by 17:50 hrs thereby saving the property of locals. Subsequently, the second Fire incident was reported from village Kralpora at 20.20 hrs. The fire fighting team rushed to the fire spot without loss of time. Two Fire tenders were deployed and the fire was completely extinguished by 22:00 hrs. The timely action by Kishanganga Power Station prevented heavy loss of life and property.
