NTPC Bongaigaon organized two day colorful North East Festival
NTPC Bongaigaon as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating India's 75 Years of India's Independence organized a two day colorful North East Festival depicting the rich ethnic heritage of the region starting from 11-12th December,2021.

The two day festival is being inaugurated by Shri Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member, Bodoland Territorial Region in presence of Shri Subrata Mandal, GM (O&M), Shri T.Ravinder, GM(O&M), Shri Umesh Singh, GM (FM & Maintenance), Shri D.P Patra, GM( Operations), Shri Amitava Saha, GM (Safety), Shri A.K. Chawla, AGM(HR), Shri Shashi Shekhar,AGM(HR) and senior officials of the station.
Shri Pramod Boro while inaugurating the program thanked NTPC for organising such a program which depicts the cultural ethnicity of the region. Shri Pramod Boro said the North East is full of vibrancy,colour and the traditions of the region depicts its plurality of Indian culture.
Shri Pramod remembered the freedom fighters who helped us achieve this day of progressive India. Shri Boro visited the handicraft stalls and the food stalls which reflected the flavour of the region and appreciated the MSME vendors for preserving the north east roots.
A Bodo Kavi Sammelan from four districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) i.e Chirang, Baabsksa, Udalguri and Kokrajhar was also organised on the occasion to celebrate the occasion.Shri Pramod Boro said that NTPC's efforts of inviting 11 poets under one roof and all poets sharing their rich imagination really speaks volumes on the culture of North East.Later all the poets were felicitated with a citation of Appreciation from NTPC's side.
Earlier Shri Subrata Mandal, ED,NTPC Bongaigaon welcoming the dignitaries spoke on how NTPC is lighting millions of lives and how the company cherishes the festival of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav across its various power stations.The 1st day program reflected the colourful cultural extravaganza of Assam Dance Forms, ethinc Fashion show and folk orchestra of the region which was enjoyed by the local community of Kokrakjar and Bodoland Territorial Region.
