Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Shri Alok Tandon visited Malanjkhand Copper Project, HCL
On 14th November 2021, Shri Tandon laid the foundation stone of the proposed Paste Fill Plant and planted saplings.
New Delhi: Shri Alok Tandon reviewed the performance of the Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP) on November 13, 2021, in the presence of Shri Arun Kumar Shukla, CMD, HCL, Shri Sanjay Panjiyar, D(OP), HCL, and other senior officers. Later, Shri Tandon took an account of the mining history of the area since the 19th century.
On 14th November 2021, Shri Tandon laid the foundation stone of the proposed Paste Fill Plant and planted saplings. He visited the underground mines, witnessed the drilling process at 296 MRL and Copper mineralization at that site.
Thereafter, the Secretary (Mines) visited MCP Concentrator Plant, went through the minute details, and was apprised of the future plan of capacity enhancement. Later in the day, Shri Tandon reviewed the CAPEX projects and details with respect to the production ramp-up plan of MCP underground mines.
