Shri J Venkatramu appointed as MD and CEO of India Post Payment Bank
New Delhi: The government on Wednesday appoints the J Venkatramu as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the India Postal Payment Bank for three years.
He is currently at the Equity Small Finance Bank as Chief Digital Officer. Shri Venkatramu has banking experience from the past 22 years with other banking services and digital services.
India Post Payment Bank is one of the government-owned public sector banks, got licensed run a payments bank from the Reserve Bank of India. on 19 August 2015 operating with the Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications.
The government states in a statement, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the department of posts for the appointment of J Venkatramu to the post of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, India Post Payments Bank for three years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earlier.”
