A. Shanti Kumari, the Senior IAS officer has been appointed Telangana's new Chief Secretary. Accoding to the Telangana High Court’s verdict the state government has issued order of appointing her as the Chief Secretary.

Hyderabad: A. Shanti Kumari, the Senior IAS officer has been appointed Telangana's new Chief Secretary. Accoding to the Telangana High Court’s verdict the state government has issued order of appointing her as the Chief Secretary.
The order was given a day after the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) relieved Somesh Kumar from the post.
According to the report, She may have a tenure till April 2025 i.e. till her retirement or beyond.
The Telangana High Court on Tuesday set aside the order of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Hyderabad, allotting Andhra Pradesh cadre to senior IAS officer and outgoing chief secretary of the state Somesh Kumar (IAS:1989:TG) following which Santhi Kumari was appointed new CS.
Santhi worked as a Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office and as Special Secretary in the TS-iPASS. Prior to being appointed as Chief Secretary she holds the post of Special Chief Secretary in the Forest department.
