Disinvestment: Air India's handover to Tata this week or not!
The government has decided to complete the process on January 27 and will decide whether the company will take over the airline now or not.

New Delhi: The flag carrier airline of India, Air India is set to go on the tata group boat, as it is expected that the handover of air India will take place after the republic day.
The government has decided to complete the process on January 27 and will decide whether the company will take over the airline now or not.
It is mentioned that to complete the Air India disinvestment, they asked for the closing balance sheet as on 20th Jan so it can be reviewed by the tata groups.
The handover was to be done in December but got delayed due to the various pending approvals. Moreover, it is likely to happen that the Tata Group will operate three airlines - Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara after the government transfers the airline to the group.
