New Delhi. Air Marshal S Sivakumar VSM has officially taken charge as the Air Officer-in-Charge Administration at Air Headquarters. This appointment is an important moment for the Indian Air Force's administrative branch.

Air Marshal Sivakumar joined the Administration branch of the Indian Air Force in June 1990. He brings over 35 years of broad experience to his new position. His career includes a variety of critical command and staff roles.

He holds an MBA in HRM from Pondicherry University and an M Phil degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Osmania University. This shows his solid educational background in strategic management and defence.

During his notable career, Air Marshal Sivakumar has held many key positions. These include Senior Air Traffic Control Officer at a forward base, representing the IAF in the UN Mission in Congo, and serving as an Air Force Examiner. He has also been the Chief Administrative Officer at a major Flying Station, Command Works Officer, and Command Personnel Staff Officer at two Operational Commands. Before this new role, he was the Air Officer Commanding of an Equipment Depot, Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Air Force Works at Air Headquarters, and Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration of an Operational Command. Most recently, he served as the Director General of Administration at Air HQ.

Air Marshal Sivakumar has received the Vishisht Seva Medal for his outstanding service. His extensive experience and strong leadership are expected to greatly contribute to the strategic and administrative responsibilities of the Indian Air Force.
