BCPL observed Swachhta Pakhwada; Organised awareness campaign
New Delhi: BCPL observed "Swachhta Pakhwada" from 1st July to 15th July 2022 to promote awareness on Swachhta Activities and to accomplish the dream of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event commenced with the pledge-taking ceremony followed by tree plantation drive at the BCPL plant by Shri Reep Hazarika, Managing Director BCPL and other senior officials.
On the occasion various competitions like Poem, Slogan, DIY Art & Craft, and Art competitions amongst the employees/Spuses/Children & contract workers of BCPL. Inter School Debate competitions in collaboration with DHSK Science & Arts College were also conducted where students from various schools of Dibrugarh District actively participated. In addition to this, various cleanliness drives have been undertaken as a part of this mission at BCPL Lepetkata, GDU Duliajan and Lakwa.
The major cleanliness drive was undertaken at DTP Dyke area in association with, DHSK College, Dibrugarh and the employees of BCPL, CISF contingent, and students & NSS cadets participated in the drive. An awareness campaign on Swachhta was also organized amongst the tea garden laboures and distributed Cotton Canvass Bag.
BCPL as a socially responsive company aired the messages on Swachhta on All India Radio and also telecasted One Act Play performed by the students of DSHK college at local channels and social media platforms to create awareness amongst the masses. On 15th July 2022, the event was concluded with prize distribution ceremony.
