Bharat Petroleum received Computer Weekly Innovation Awards APAC for IRIS
An Indian public sector oil and gas corporation, BPCL bagged the Computer Weekly APAC Industry Innovation Awards for IRIS, in the Public Sector category

New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), an Indian public sector unit, oil, and gas corporation received Computer Weekly APAC Industry Innovation Awards for IRIS, in the Public Sector category on March 29, 2021. This award recognizes companies, which are leading their industries in digital transformation to tap new business opportunities, improve efficiencies and solve pressing issues.
IRIS, a digital platform, integrates real-time data from across BPCL’s countrywide network, which driven by analytics based on AI, subsequently trigger automated alerts and actions, including rapid response to equipment failures or hazardous situations, empowering more than 100,000 workforces across the country to make faster and more accurate decisions, including preventative maintenance.
While receiving the award, Rahul Tandon, Head of Digital Transformation, said, “With the deployment of highly automated Digital Nerve Center IRIS, we are not only bolstering our digital capabilities significantly but also improving customer experience and transforming operations at scale.
