BOI branch in Guwahati declared as a containment zone
New Delhi: Bank of Baroda branch in Bhangagarh, Guwahati has been declared as containment zone on Monday after being found positive cases of COVID-19 in the branch.
An official order has been issued by Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner in regards to maintaining public hygiene, social distancing, and safety measures to prevent of the spread of COVID-19 virus in the area and declared containment zone with effect from July 27, 2020, until further orders and sealed the area.
"Any violation of this order will attract action under provisions of "The Assam COVID-19 Regulations, 2020", "The Disaster Management Act, 2005", "The Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897", and other relevant laws of the nation", further mentioned in the order.
Therefore, only activities deemed as essential are allowed in the restricted area as per the instructions of the Central Government.
