Catalyst Role of Panipat Refinery in developing Petrochemicals Hub in Haryana
Panipat .Chief Minister Haryana Shri Manohar Lal and Union Minister of State [I/C] for Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan have emphasised the need to develop more industries in Haryana, based on Petrochemicals.
A meeting organised at IndianOil’s Panipat Refinery yesterday , need for better coordinated efforts to encourage industries based on petrochemicals was felt. IndianOil’s largest Refinery of 18 MMTPA and its Petrochemical plants Napthacracker and PX / PTA have marked a new era of industrial development in the region that offer tremendous industrial growth in the chain development.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Petroleum Minister announced formation of a special taskforce having members from Ministry of Petrolem & Natural Gas, Government of Haryana and IndianOil to chalk out an action plan to actively promote expansion of Petrochemical industry to its next level and work out a road map to take things forward after a foundation set by the most modern Refinery and Petrochemicals Plant at Panipat.
Shri Sandeep Poundrik, Jt Secretary [ Refineries ], IndianOil Chairman Shri B Ashok , Director [ Refineries ] Shri Sanjiv Singh, ED I/C Panipat Refinery, ED[ Petrochemicals ] Shri A N Jha, ED [Mktg ] Shri Sajjan Singh and ED [ Pipelines ] Shri R K Samtani were also present in the meeting along with DC, Panipat Dr Chandra Shekhar Khare.
