CCL powers skill development placement fairs to create job
RANCHI. Central Coalfields have launched several skill development programmes through various training institutions, especially to the youth from rural background, particularly from project affected people.
The aim of these programs is to make these youths employable and self- reliant. ITI, multi skill development center (MSDC), mining sirdar training, mobile repairing etc are some of the vocational training that is being provided by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). In fact, these initiatives had helped CCL to build a special bond with its stakeholders.
Taking the noble and visionary mission a step ahead, Central Coalfields under the dynamic leadership of CMD Shri Gopal Singh has been trying to secure employment for these skilled and educated youths of Jharkhand through ‘Employment Fair’ i.e. placement drives. These placement drives provide unique platform to both, employer and prospective employees, saving in their precious money and time.
These placement drive are common in the IT industry for fulfilling its need of engineers but it is the first time that any company is conducting placement drives for electrician, welders, fitters etc, that too not to fulfill its own requirement but for the benefit of the youths from the rural and interior parts of Jharkhand, who could have not thought of it even in their dream. CCL had already organised two ‘Employment Fair’ earlier in January and April this year, for the students of MSDC, in which 43 students were selected by different companies.
