India`s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant
MUMBAI. India launched its first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant today. It is the biggest warship to be built by India Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (P-71) INS Vikrant after its launch. The 40,000 tonnes aircraft carrier, designed by the Indian Navy (Directorate General of Naval Design) and built by the Cochin Shipyard, is a part of the warship project of the Ministry of Defence.PTI
