CMD, NHPC and Joint Secretary (Hydro), MoP visit 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE Project
New Delhi: Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC alongwith Shri Raghuraj Madhav Rajendran, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, Govt of India visited Subansiri Lower HE Project on 03.9.2021. During the visit, they inspected key construction areas viz. Dam Site, Power House site & underground structures & other critical E&M & HM fronts of the project including facility areas & fabrication yards.
They were apprised of various ongoing construction activities undertaken by the project in spite of difficulties faced by the project due to the Covid pandemic & its associated bottlenecks like crisis of Industrial Oxygen & constraints of skilled manpower, material availability at the site, etc.
Representatives of major work contractors also briefed about the quantum of construction activities in individual fronts. CMD, NHPC appreciated the hard work of the project team & the progress achieved so far. Joint Secretary (Hydro), MOP appealed to everyone to put their best efforts in completing this prestigious project in time.
