CMD, NHPC met Hon'ble Lt. Governor of UT of Ladakh
New Delhi: Shri AK Singh, CMD, NHPC had a meeting with Shri Radha Krishna Mathur, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh at Ladakh Bhawan, New Delhi on 15th February 2021 to discuss issues related to NHPC Power Stations at Kargil and Leh and development of hydro and solar power projects in Ladakh, in view of being the first mover in Ladakh.
CMD, NHPC was accompanied by Sh. V.K. Maini, ED (SBD&C). During discussions, Hon'ble LG suggested NHPC explore the development of tourism at its existing power station locations to encash on natural scenic beauty and potential for various activities like fishing, boating, fish farming, aqua sports, etc. CMD, NHPC assured Hon'ble LG to depute a team of NHPC to explore the same.
