Coal India extends support to set up O2 Plant at ESI Hospital, Ujjain
CIL is helping to set up 6 oxygen plants on a standalone basis, its subsidiary companies are extending financial support to set up 29 oxygen plants in 27 Government hospitals.
New Delhi: Coal India Limited is extending financial support of Rs. 50 lakhs to the district administration of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh for setting up of an Oxygen Generation Plant at Government ESI Hospital, Nagda, Ujjain. The Oxygen Generation Plant will have a capacity to generate 500 litres of oxygen per minute, will upgrade the infrastructure, and help better the treatment of patients.
Responding to the Government’s call, CIL is helping to set up 6 oxygen plants on a standalone basis. CIL subsidiary companies are extending financial support to set up 29 oxygen plants in 27 Government hospitals.
In FY 2020-21, CIL and its subsidiary companies have spent Rs. 554 crores towards corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, 48% of which was spent in healthcare needs arising out of the COVID pandemic.
