Coal Ministry to Host Industry Interaction to strengthen gasification projects
The Ministry of Coal is set to host an Industry Interaction on 16th February 2024 in Hyderabad which is focused on boosting the development of coal and lignite gasification projects in India.
The significant approach is harnessed to mark the potential of coal and lignite resources to drive sustainable energy solutions in India to foster the proliferation of coal and lignite gasification projects across the nation. The coal ministry has approved a scheme to promote the coal and lignite gasification project which follows an investment outlay of Rs 8500 crore under the three categories i.e. for Government PSUs, Private players along with Small scale projects.
The promotion of coal and lignite gasification project is in line with the government’s vision to diversify energy sources while reducing dependency on imported fuels and considering renewable sources as a priority option for substituting energy fuels.

The event will gather the stakeholders around along with industry partners, leaders, and policymakers to ponder upon the opportunities and challenges associated with coal/lignite gasification projects.
The exchange of thoughts between different stakeholders will have a big impact on new enthusiasm and will provide best practices to engage in thoughtful discussions and positive contemplation as well. It will help to explore avenues for collaboration to drive the growth of gasification initiatives in the country.
