DG, ICG released concept guide for ICGA project

Delhi: Project Management Authority meeting for “Indian Coast Guard Academy (ICGA) Project at Mangaluru” was held at Coast Guard Head Quarter, Delhi on December 22, 2020.

The Concept Guide for the Project was also released by DG, ICG. MECON is the EPCM Consultant for this prestigious project.
 

About MECON Limited

MECON Limited, formerly known as Metallurgical and Engineering Consultants (India) Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Steel of the Government of India. It began in 1959 as the Central Engineering and Designing Bureau (CEDB) of the Hindustan Steel Limited (HSL), the first public sector steel company. Subsequently, CEDB grew as Metallurgical and Engineering Consultant (MECON), a subsidiary of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in 1973. It later became an autonomous company reporting to the Ministry of Steel in 1978.

The Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission organization, conducting round-the-year real-life operations at sea. Despite being relatively small, it has a wide range of task capabilities for both surface and air operations. The organization is headed by the Director-General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG) exercising his overall command and superintendence from the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) located in New Delhi.
