A total of 15 teams of men players comprising 13 from DSP & 2 from ASP and 4 team of women players were participants in the tournament.

New Delhi: Departmental Volleyball Tournament 2022 has been organized by Durgapur Steel Plant under the floodlights from 4th September to 11th September, 2022 at DSP Nehru stadium. The tournament began on 04.09.2022 with the inauguration of the event by Shri BP Singh, Director I/c, (Burnpur & Durgapur Steel Plant) amidst presence of senior officials, employees, union members, representatives of officers association and other employees of DSP & ASP. Director I/c, Shri Singh in his inaugural speech spoke highly of the tournament and wished for the tournament as an important milestone in building team spirit amongst all.
A total of 15 teams of men players comprising 13 from DSP & 2 from ASP and 4 team of women players were participants in the tournament.
The starting match was played between Team Yamuna & Team Krishna comprising of women players including Team from WAP, PMD, & Power Plant Departments & Team from Traffic Department comprising of men players. The final match of the tournament will be played on 10.09.2022, while there will be a men’s friendly match between teams from DSP & CISF. Various sports lovers had thronged the stadium to witness the spectacular inaugural match
