PLC and SCADA are extensively used in Industrial Control Applications and ECIL is a pioneer in developing them. For the past four decades, ECIL supplied PLC and SCADA systems are successfully operating at Nuclear Plants, ISRO centres.
ECIL Launched PLC and SCADA software
Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) Hyderabad, a Public Sector Unit under Dept. of Atomic Energy today launched the indigenous state of the art Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software for process automation systems at a function. held in Homi J Bhabha Auditorium, ECIL. Latest products of ECIL were also exhibited at the venue.
Rear Admiral Sanjay Chaubey (Retd.), Chairman & Managing Director, ECIL and Shri YS Mayya, Ex Director, Electronics & Instrumentation Group of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai launched new products. Senior scientists from BARC, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Shri Samir Mukherjee, Director (Personnel) and Shri N. Rambabu, ED (Nuclear) of ECIL participated in the program.

Steel and Power plants, Oil and Gas industries. CMD, ECIL said that ECIL, BARC and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) are working together on state of the art technologies towards Atmanirbhar Bharath in strategic electronics.
PLC and SCADA system being launched today is the successful outcome of this cooperation.
A two-day workshop on indigenous PLC and SCADA systems is also organised by ECIL along with the new product launch. Engineers from BARC, NFC, IGCAR, ISRO, SAIL, Steel sector, Indian Oil, HPCL, BPCL, BHEL and many other industries are participating in this workshop.
Various technical aspects of indigenous design and development, verification and validation, manufacturing, quality control and cyber security will be deliberated in this workshop.
