First Driverless Metro train will be flagged off on Magenta Line
New Delhi: India's First driverless metro will be flagged off later this month on the Magenta Line (Janakpuri West- Botanical Garden) of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), according to the sources.
It was also mentioned that the metro train will be flagged off by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. The official proposal has been also sent to the PM's Office for the flag off the ceremony which may be held around December 25, 2020.
With a huge ridership and for the long-distance travelers, DMRC introducing this on the highest rush line of the metro, this driverless train will stretch 20km long Magenta-pink line. With technology, there will be different specifications in this metro. As Delhi Metro earlier also mentioned that they are designed for a maximum speed of 95 kmph and operational speed of 85 kmph.
