Friendship Cup of NTPC Bongaigaon with IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery
The Best Bowler- prize went to Shri Diwakar Mishra of NTPC for his hattrick. Shri Vivek Suneria of IOCL became the Man of the match for brilliant batting (49 runs in 34 balls) and brilliant bowling 2 wickets in 3 overs).
Bongaigaon: As a part of mutual understanding and cooperation between NTPC and IOCL, a friendly T20 deuce ball cricket match was organised by NTPC Bongaigaon recently on 7th March,2021 between the two PSUs.NTPC emerged victorious and bagged the winning trophy in the match.
NTPC won the toss and decided to field first. Team IOCL scored 161 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Shri Vivek Suneria & Shri Shivram Nayak of IOCL played beautifully and made 49 in 34 balls & 40 in 24 balls respectively.
In return, NTPC Bongaigaon made 164 runs in 18.1 overs with the loss of 7 wickets and won the match. Shri Brahmananda Samal of NTPC made brilliant 45 runs in 24 balls and adjudged as the best batsman of the match.

The Event was inaugurated and the prize distribution ceremony by Shri Subrata Mandal,CGM NTPC Bongaigaon along with Shri T. Ravinder, GM( O& M), Shri Ramakant Panda, GM( Maintenance), Shri D.P.Patra, GM(Operations) and Shri Umesh Singh, GM( Fuel Management),Smt. Niva Panda, Senior Member, Bardwi Sikhla Ladies Club and officials from IOCL Bongaigaon and NTPC Bongaigaon. Live streaming of the cricket match was also made available through YouTube by the IT Deptt.
