GAIL releases Rs 1-crore for bin installation in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH. Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) has released Rs 1-crore for the installation of dustbins in different places in Chandigarh.This information has been made available by the GAIL Director Sanjay Tandon himself. He further informed that for making successful the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Chandigarh, which is a vision of the Prime Minister, several dustbins would be placed at different places shortly and the local residents made aware of this facility.
Mr Tandon elaborated that it was the responsibility of all residents of Chandigarh to keep the city neat and clean. "We can do our best by making minor changes in our habits with regard to maintaining a clean atmosphere," he added. He informed that he has taken steps for arranging funds and now the time was to act upon shortly to do the best exercise, he said.
