Governor of Andhra Pradesh presented Red Cross Gold Medal to POWERGRID

NEW DELHI- Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh and President of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) presented Red Cross Gold Medal to POWERGRID for mobilizing Specific resources in conducting a medical camp at Kurupam village of Vizianagaram district and for the construction of a Blood Bank at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. 

POWERGRID has been bestowed with this Red Cross Gold Medal award for its contribution towards the service of society third time in a row. 

On behalf of POWERGRID, Shri Rajesh Srivastava, Executive Director (Southern Region-I) received the award from the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh at an event held at Vijayawada on 28th October 2022. 

Under its CSR initiatives, POWERGRID with IRCS has conducted Multi-Specialty Mega Health Camps at various locations in Andhra Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs. 41 lakhs.

The camps were spread across 10 districts of Andhra Pradesh covering 18,053 beneficiaries. The award also recognizes the contribution of POWERGRID in the construction of IRCS Blood Bank at Chittoor with all the necessary equipment.
