Grand Master Praggnanandhaa joins galaxy of IndianOil's Sport Stars
New Delhi: Mr Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman – IndianOil, presented the tenure-based engagement letter to Grand Master Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa in a glittering event held at Chennai in the presence of senior IndianOil officials and Grand Master Sasikiran, Grand Master Karthikeyan Murali, Grand Master R B Ramesh – Coach of Praggnanandhaa and other dignitaries.
Mr Vaidya appreciated the talent of Chess prodigy Grand Master Praggnanandhaa and expressed his happiness over his induction to the IndianOil family. He said, "Praggnanandhaa is not only the youngest chess star ever to beat the world number one; he stands for that remarkable resilience that is the hallmark of India's youth power propelling the nation's global ascent.
I want to reiterate that IndianOil will continue to undertake focused endeavours that will reshape the sporting culture in India and make the country a powerhouse in sports across multiple disciplines.
IndianOil has been actively involved in promoting Sports across the country by recruiting Sportspersons, offering Sports Scholarships to budding Sports talents and sponsoring major sporting events. Indian Oil was conferred the "Rashtriya Khel ProtsahanPuruskar" for the encouragement of Sports through CSR last year.
As a Socially Responsible Corporate, IndianOil, through its Scholarship scheme, is tapping young talent below the age of 19 years and providing the vital support needed to nurture these promising talents into future Sports stars.
