Grid-India organizes 26th Inter CPSU Table Tennis Tournament
The team from POWERGRID in the men’s category and team from SJVNL under women’s category emerged as the winners in the team championships.
New Delhi: Grid-India organised the 26th Inter CPSU Table Tennis tournament under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India from August 31st to September 2nd, 2023 at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru.
Twelve men and six women teams participated from various power sector entities, including the Ministry of Power, CEA, REC, Powergrid, DVC, NHPC, NEEPCO, THDC, SJVNL, BBMB, Grid-India, and PFC, showcased their exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Grid-India emerged as the 1st Runner up position in the Men’s Team event. In addition, Grid-India’s dynamic duo, Amit Gupta and Himanshu Verma was 2nd Runner up in the double’s category. These remarkable achievements are a testament to Grid-India's unwavering commitment to excellence and the power of teamwork and commitment to excellence.

His opening remarks emphasized the importance of sports in fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among colleagues.
The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Rajiv Kumar Porwal, Director (System Operation), as the esteemed chief guest. It was a moment of celebration as SRLDC Executive Director Sh. SP Kumar and other distinguished officials came together to witness the culmination of this sporting extravaganza.
Grid-India has always endeavoured to promote sports and health among its workforce and stakeholders.
