IOC organised UN champion of earth adv
New Delhi: IOC mobilises youth power for plastic waste segrgation activity. WR-CC called upon 8 prominent colleges of Mumbai Including IIT Mumbai and gathered more than 700 students as well as 68 employee volunteers from WR to join the plastic waste segregation activity at Versova Beach on 04.01.2020. This activity was organised to support efforts of UN Champion of Earth Adv. Afroz Shah to build sensitivity amongst youth towards plastic pollution. Dry waste generated from 75,000 household was segregated into different categories to enable proper recycling of waste.
