KINFRA and BPCL sign MoU for Petrochemical Park at Kochi
The Project will be completed by 2024. Targeting the industrial, economic growth, and job creation of the state, the Petrochemical park will be set up on 481 acres of land at Ambalamugal, Kochi.
New Delhi: Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) and Bharat Petroleum have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-operate in the Petrochemical Park project to be set up by KINFRA in Ambalamugal, Kochi. The MoU was signed by Shri Santosh Koshy Thomas, Managing Director (KINFRA), and Shri S Jena, Executive Director (Industrial & Commercial), BPCL in the presence of Shri P Rajeev, Hon'ble Industries Minister, Govt. of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram (24/09/2021). The target is to complete the project by 2024.
Targeting the industrial, economic growth, and job creation of the state, the Petrochemical park will be set up on 481 acres of land at Ambalamugal, Kochi. BPCL, a leading company in the petrochemical industry, has been allotted 171 acres of land under the scheme. Around 250 acres of land will also be allotted for petrochemical industrial units that operate on petroleum products and raw materials supplied by BPCL. BPCL will also provide support to industrial units arriving at the park. KINFRA and BPCL have decided to work together to establish and develop the park.

Elangovan and Director Shri S Harikishore, Executive Director, BPCL KochiRefinery, Shri Sanjay Khanna, Chief General Managers Shri A.N. Sriram, Shri Kurian P Alapatt, Shri.S. Srinivasan, and General Managers, Shri. George Thomas and Shri. D Kannabiran were present.
