KVB celebrates 75th Year of Indian Independence
The Indian tricolour was distributed among school children.

Chennai: Karur Vysya Bank celebrated the 75th year of Independence in a grand manner. At an impressive function at the Central Office of the Bank at Karur, Mr. B Ramesh Babu, Managing Director & CEO hoisted the National Flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramesh Babu said “Independence was achieved after much sacrifice by so many known and unknown freedom fighters. It is our duty to nurture hard-earned Independence. Karur Vysya Bank has been spreading the Har Ghar Tiranga message by way of street corner plays performed by rural folk artists in rural locations in Tamil Nadu as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
On the occasion, folk artists performed a skit to highlight the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Sakthi Trust, Ayyampalayam and Jayam Trust, Kodumudi who had conducted skill development classes for women from under privileged families set up their stalls. Sakthi Trust had trained women beneficiaries in the art of aari work, threadwork embroidery and painting. Jayam Trust had trained women in door mat weaving and organic vegetable farming. Karur Vysya bank had supported both the institutions to conduct the skill development programme as part of its CSR initiatives.

MD & CEO Shri Ramesh Babu, Directors Shri A K Praburaj and Shri R Ramkumar, Former Directors, Shri A V Kandasamy, Shri B Rajasekaran and Shri A J Suriyanarayana, President & COO Shri J Natarajan, besides executives and employees of the Bank participated in the function.
