More than 400 people participate at International Yoga Day at NTPC Bongaigaon
Bongaigaon: International Yoga Day 2022 was celebrated under Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at NTPC Bongaigaon with a mass yoga session at 7:00 AM today at the Employee Welfare Association Hall for employees and their family members following COVID protocols. The session was conducted by Shri Debajit Patra, yoga guru and jawan from CISF, NTPC Bongaigaon unit.
The International Yoga Day saw more than 400 participants from various employees, CISF Jawans, and family members. Training on Yoga was also given to children of Bal Bhawan and Notredame Academy, NTPC Bongaigaon.
Shri Subrata Mandal, ED, NTPC (Bongaigaon) on the occasion spoke to the employees and family members on the theme of this year’s International Yoga Day "Yoga for Humanity” thus promote the vision of better health and wellness for all on regular basis. Shri Induri Reddy, GM (Maintenance), Shri Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR), Shri Sandhip Das, AGM (Safety), Shri Tapas Bachar, AGM (Ash Handling), senior officials and members of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club also joined the program.
Shri Patra demonstrated various asanas based on Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) as released by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India under Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsava. He also provided guidance regarding healthy and mindful diet including various asanas to reduce body weight and improve breathing for a longer life. On the occasion, GMs, HODs, employees, spouses and children of NTPC Bongaigaon were present.
