Ms Renuka Gera appointed as Director-Industrial Systems and Products at BHEL
Ms. Renuka Gera, Director (Industrial Systems & Products), BHEL
New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) appointed Ms. Renuka Gera as Director-Industrial Systems and Products on Tuesday.
Ms. Renuka Gera replaced S Balakrishnan, who ceased to be the Director on the Board of BHEL on attaining the age of superannuation on November 30, 2020, according to BHEL.
On her appointment as Director on the Board of BHEL Ms. Gera, 57, has assumed charge as Director (Industrial Systems & Products) of the Public Sector Engineering and Manufacturing Enterprise. Significantly, she is the first woman employee of BHEL to reach the level of Director.
She started her career with BHEL as an Engineer Trainee in the company's Transmission Business Group in 1984 and completed her graduation from Delhi College of Engineering in Electronics and Communication engineering.
She has a vast experience of 36 years in various verticals of the industry sector segment, got her hands in Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Contract & Project Management, HR, Administration, Planning, Finance, and Legal, besides serving in BHEL's Bhopal manufacturing unit for five years.
