An Agreement on Extension signed between US and Armenia
United States: On the 2nd of May 2024, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kvien, on behalf of the Government of the United States of America, and Republic of Armenia Minister of Defense Papikyan, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, came together to sign an extension of the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Armenia concerning cooperation in the area of counterproliferation of weapons of mass destruction (Hereinafter, the Umbrella Agreement).

Under its auspices, the United States Government through the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has provided invaluable support to the Republic of Armenia, offering expertise, materials, and technical assistance, worth over 130 mln. USD, making DTRA as one of the principal donors to the Republic of Armenia
