Mumbai, February 21, 2026: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) today announced a key change in its senior management as Shri Sanjay Kumar Mazumder, Executive Director, superannuates, concluding a distinguished career of over 37 years in India’s energy sector.

Shri Mazumder, a Mechanical Engineer, joined ONGC in 1989 and served in diverse capacities across offshore production operations, pipeline management, and asset administration. During his tenure, he held pivotal roles at Mumbai High, Assam Asset (Geleky), Western Offshore Pipelines, and as Asset Manager for producing fields including Neelam, Heera, and Mumbai High, driving operational efficiency and strategic asset management.

In his leadership roles, including CEO – ONGC Green Limited and Executive Director (Special Duty) to Director (Exploration), Shri Mazumder contributed to ONGC’s energy transition initiatives, sustainable growth strategies, and HSE excellence. His calm leadership, operational expertise, and people-centric approach earned him recognition as a mentor and guide across the organization.

ONGC stated that Shri Mazumder’s superannuation marks a significant transition in senior management, leaving behind a legacy of discipline, operational excellence, and strategic vision that will continue to guide the company’s growth.
