NBCC to Construct AIIMS in Himachal Pradesh
New Delhi: NBCC (India) Ltd., has bagged a prestigious project for planning, designing & construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Kothipara in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh valuing Rs. 1138 Crores. The Project has been awarded to NBCC by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. Spread over 205 acres, the proposed institution shall have a Hospital with the capacity of 750 beds which will include Emergency/Trauma Beds, AYUSH Beds, Private Beds and ICU (Specialty & Super Specialty) Beds.
In addition, there will an institutional block catering to around 100 MBBS students and 60 nursing students apart from an Administration Block, AYUSH Block, Auditorium, Night Shelter, Guest House, Hostels and Residential facilities which will be equipped with modern amenities.
NBCC has been a prime mover in Health Infrastructure sector of the country and has been undertaking several significant projects such as ESIC Hospitals, Medical Colleges & Hospitals of various State Govts. across the country. Some of such major projects already executed by the company include Guwahati Medical College & Hospital at Assam; ESIC Medical College at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh; 500 Bedded ESIC Medical College & Hospital at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; Medical College & 500 bed hospital at Sonepat & Mewat; Medical College at Durgapur; Trauma Centre of AIIMS Delhi; Sports Injury Centre at Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi and many more.
