NHPC Limited holds its 450th Board Meeting
NHPC's first board meeting held in the presence of all the newly appointed Independent Directors
NEW DELHI: NHPC Limited, an Indian government hydropower board under the ownership of the Ministry of Power held its 450th Board Meeting on 7.12.2021. This was NHPC's first board meeting held in the presence of all the newly appointed Independent Directors alongwith all functional Directors & Govt. Nominee Director since NHPC's last board meeting held in August 2020.
The meeting was attended by Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, Shri R.M. Rajendran, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, NHPC Functional Directors including Shri Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) & Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) and Independent Directors including Dr. Uday Sakharam Nirgudkar, Dr. Amit Kansal, Dr. Rashmi Sharma Rawal & Shri Jiji Joseph.
According to Capital Market, the Board of NHPC approved the proposal for monetization by securitization through a bidding process of Return on Equity (RoE) of Chamera-1 Power Station (3 X 180 MW), Himachal Pradesh, and further to monetize the RoE of one or more power stations for 05/10/15 years in one go or roll over, said in a board meeting.
