NLCIL signs MoU with APDCL to develop RE Projects in Assam
New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a government-owned and a Navratna company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) for the development of 1000 MW Renewable Energy Projects in Assam State.
The MoU was signed on August 09, 2022, by Shri K. Mohan Reddy, Director (P&P), NLCIL, and Shri R. Kumar IAS, Managing Director, APDCL in august presence of the Hon'ble Union Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs Shri Pralhad Joshi.
Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, Smt. Nandita Gorlosa, Assam Cabinet Minister for Power, Mines & Minerals, Cooperation, and Indigenous Tribal Faith & Culture Dept, and Shri. Rakesh Kumar, CMD, NLCIL at CM Block, Janata Bhawan, Dispur were also presented.
On that Shri Himanta, Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Happy to attend signing of MoU between NLC India Ltd and APDC for 1,000-MW renewable power projects in Assam in presence of Hon'ble Union Coal Min Shri Joshi Pralhad ji."
The projects will mark a quantum leap in State’s capacity to generate green power, further added.
