NMDC’s Spectacular Q1 Performance, Best Ever June month and Q1 Performance
Cumulative production and sales figures upto June 21 (Q1-FY22) stood at 8.89 MT and 9.57 MT respectively, achieving 34% increase in production and 49% in sales over the CPLY.
Hyderabad: With the production of 2.98 MT and sale of 3.18 MT of iron ore, this has been the best June ever for NMDC. Iron ore production for the month was 18% higher than what was produced in the same month last year, sales 28% of June 2020.
Cumulative production and sales figures upto June 21 (Q1-FY22) stood at 8.89 MT and 9.57 MT respectively, achieving 34% increase in production and 49% in sales over the CPLY.
With this India’s largest iron ore producer surpasses its previous best for any Q1 since inception. The month of June also saw Kirandul deliver its best performance to date: 10.36 LT was produced and sales 11.36 LT sold from this complex in Chhattisgarh. This takes its Q1 FY22 production to a record 32.13 LT and sales to 38.82 LT which again are the strongest ever Q1 performance for the Kirandul complex.
“The first quarter sets the tone for what we expect to be one of our best years. This momentum could see us surpass our production and sales target for FY 2022. That such a strong performance is being achieved in such testing times is particularly gratifying,” said CMD NMDC, Shri Sumit Deb.
