New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India on Monday, June 6 clarifies the media reports considering changes to the existing currency and banknotes by replacing the face of Mahatma Gandhi with that of others.
Currently, India's central bank has not issued such notice regarding this and also clarifies that the Reserve Bank has not issued such a proposal.
According to such media reports, it is claimed that RBI is planning to introduce new currency notes with the photos of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam & Rabindranath Tagore. However, these reports are fake, checked by PIB Fast Check. also, no such announcements has been made by RBI.
