NRDC Licences Eco-friendly Geo-polymer Concrete Blocks Technology
New Delhi: National Research Development Corporation, signed license agreement for commercialization of Geo-polymer Blocks for pavers developed by CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Center (SERC), Chennai under Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India to M/s Kiran Global Geocements Private Limited, Chennai.
License Agreement was signed and exchanged between Prof. Santosh Kapuria, Director CSIR-SERC, Chennai, Dr. H. Purushotham, CMD, NRDC and Shri Singaravelu S, Managing Director, M/s Kiran Global Geocements Private Limited, Chennai, during CSIR-SERC, Chennai Foundation Day. The senior scientists and officials were also present during the signing ceremony.
The Geo-polymer concrete block offers several advantages like, ecofriendliness, high early strength, Portland cement free binder, no water required for curing, less energy requirement, low carbon footprint and good mechanical and durability properties. The technology can be easily adopted by SMEs.
