NTPC Ranked as one of India s Best places to Work For - 2019
Mumbai: India's largest power generating company NTPC Limited has been adjudged 14th in the 2019 ‘Great Place to Work’ rankings for India. In addition to this, the organisation has also been named the ‘Best PSU’ and ‘Best organisation’ in the ‘Organisations with more than 10,000 employees’ category for 2019. The esteemed award was received by Shri Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR) and Shri C. K. Mondol, RED (West-1) at a function held in Mumbai.
A testimony of the company’s high-trust and high-performance culture, NTPC, India’s largest power utility, has not only featured on this prestigious list of companies for the 11th consecutive year as Best Companies Laureates but has also moved up 11 spots from its ranking last year.
Speaking on the recognition, a NTPC spokesperson said, 'We are extremely delighted and humbled to receive this coveted recognition and will continue to strive towards accomplishing more such milestones.' He further added, 'At NTPC, showcasing innovation while engaging with employees and all stakeholders has been at the core of its ethos. This appreciation from ‘Great Place to Work’, for the 11th consecutive year, as Best Companies Laureates mirrors our commitment towards creating and ensuring an ideal environment for all our partners.'
The list of ‘Great Place to Work’ institute is considered the gold standard certification for defining, assessing and recognizing great workplaces based on their people management practices. Numerous leading companies and organisations have been judged and ranked based on a number of parameters such as enabling environment of sustenance, growth, engagement and work-life balance for its employees.
