NWWA, Indian Navy and Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Sign MoU for Tuition Fee Concessions for Naval Fraternity Wards
Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA, Vice Admiral Suraj Berry, Controller Personnel Services, Indian Navy, and Dr Ananya Mukherjee, Vice Chancellor of Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, signed an MoU on 20 March 2023 at Greater Noida [NCR].
NWWA, Indian Navy and Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Sign MoU for Tuition Fee Concessions for Naval Fraternity Wards
NEW DELHI- Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA, Vice Admiral Suraj Berry, Controller Personnel Services, Indian Navy, and Dr Ananya Mukherjee, Vice Chancellor of Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, signed an MoU on 20 March 2023 at Greater Noida [NCR].
Marking another milestone in creating meaningful collaboration with leaders in the field of higher education in India, this MoU which is valid for 5 years starting in the academic year 2023-24, will benefit the families and wards of the Naval fraternity.
The MoU provides concession in tuition fees at any of Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence's four schools - School of Engineering, School of Natural Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
The scholarship will be awarded to wards in the following categories - to the extent of 100% for up to 2 wards of Sahara families; to the extent of 75% for up to 3 wards of serving Naval Personnel and to the extent of 50% for up to 3 wards of Retired Naval Personnel. To be eligible for these concessions, the students must possess an offer letter from any of the 4 above-mentioned schools.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Deans of the different schools at Shiv Nadar University, RAdm Atul Anand, Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area, Cmde G Rambabu, Cmde(Naval Education) and other University officials.
Reiterating NWWA's commitment to community welfare and the importance of providing opportunities for transformational education to deserving students from our community President NWWA, Mrs Kala Hari Kumar appreciated Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence's endeavours in bringing world-class education to India and making this opportunity available to deserving wards of Naval personnel.
