ONGC's biodiversity conservation projects bagged 'Green Ribbon Champion' award
NEW DELHI- In recognition of its commitment to sustainability & consistent efforts in biodiversity surrounding its operational areas, ONGC was felicitated with ‘Green Ribbon Champion for Biodiversity Conservation’ by CNBC, Network18 on 25 March 2023.
ONGC’s Biodiversity conservation projects such as the translocation of eastern Swamp Deer from Kaziranga National Park to Manas National Park in Assam, and to Preservation of the Endangered Western Hoolock Gibbon in Khasi Hills of Meghalaya among many other projects, are noteworthy.
Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Government of India Ministry Of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution congratulated Team ONGC for its initiatives.
The award was received by ONGC Executive Director Chief Mr. A.P Singh CSR.
