PM inaugurates and lays 7 foundation stone worth Rs. 541 crores in Bihar
New Delhi: The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi inaugurates and launched the laid foundation stone of seven urban infrastructure projects in Bihar worth Rs. 541 crores on Tuesday.
The implementation of these projects has been undertaken by BUIDCO under the Urban Development and Housing Department of Bihar.
The foundation stone of the Munger water supply scheme will help residents of Munger Municipal Corporation get pure water through pipelines.
The foundation stone of the Muzaffarpur Riverfront Development Scheme, being built under Namami Gange. Under the project, three ghats of Muzaffarpur (Poorvi Akhada Ghat, Seedhi Ghat, and Chandwara Ghat) will be developed. Basic facilities like toilets, information kiosk, changing rooms, pathways, watchtower, etc will be made available at the riverfront. Proper security arrangements, signage, and adequate lighting will be arranged for at these Ghats. The development of the riverfront will also boost tourism and make it the center of attraction in the future.
