RINL-Vizag Steel associated with ATAL TUNNEL
New Delhi: RINL-Vizag Steel is proud to be associated with 'ATAL TUNNEL' which is the longest highway tunnel at a height of more than 10,000 ft. RINL has supplied Major share of TMT requirements, approximately 8,500 MT of Vizag Steel TMT bars for this prestigious tunnel project.
The 9.02 km long tunnel connects Manali to Lahaul-Spiti valley, ensuring connectivity throughout the year. The valley was earlier cut off for about six months every year due to heavy snowfall. The tunnel reduces the road distance by 46 Kms between Manali and Leh and the time by about 4 to 5 hours.
Congratulating the RINL collective on this proud moment, Sri PK Rath, CMD, RINL said that, “RINL joins the Nation in thanking Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji on inaugurating this engineering marvel today i.e “ATAL TUNNEL “ which is the longest highway tunnel at a height of more than 10000 ft . This is another milestone in infrastucturing India by our beloved Prime Minister.”
He also mentioned that, “RINL takes pride in sharing with you all that we have supplied around 8500 Tonnes of TMT which is the highest share amongst all the steel suppliers in TMT section ,for the construction of this marvelous engineering project ‘ATAL TUNNEL’.”
“Earlier also RINL has participated in all the project of National Importance and we assure the Nation that RINL will be always at the helm of affairs to make India ATMANIRBHAR in its all steel requirement.” He added.
