RINL-VSP wins All India Inter-Steel Chess Championship
Team RINL-VSP won the All India Inter-Steel Chess Championship 2021-22 held under the aegis of Steel Plants Sports Board (SPSB) in Main Banquet Hall at Ukku House, Ukkunagaram, Visakhapatnam.

Team RINL-VSP won the All India Inter-Steel Chess Championship 2021-22 held under the aegis of Steel Plants Sports Board (SPSB) in Main Banquet Hall at Ukku House, Ukkunagaram, Visakhapatnam. Amidst the tough competition between 8 teams from different steel Plants, RINL-VSP won the Winner’s trophy by winning 12 match points and 19 board points. The runner’s trophy is won by the Rourkela Steel Plant team.
The Chief Guest of today’s valedictory function, Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL-VSP handed over the trophies to the winners and runners. In his address, CMD congratulated the players and said that the game of chess improves special abilities like thinking ahead of others and planning in advance which is quite useful to our day to day life also.
Shri KK Ghosh, Director (Projects), Shri AK Saxena, Director (Operations),Dr. K. H. Prakash CGM & HOD (Medical), Sri R. P. Sharma GM (CC) I/c, Sri M. S. Kumar, GM (Sports), Sri A. K. Padhy, DGM (F&A), Sri V. Trinadh, Arbiter and Sri M. S. N. Murthy, Coordinator of the event and employees also participated in the valedictory function.
