RVNL achieved feat of doubling of 19.27Km Bina-Kanjia section

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited team successfully achieved the feat of doubling of 19.27Km Bina - Kanjia section on Bhopal Division of  West Central Railway. The section features various aspects of the doubling of the super-critical infrastructure development project.

On Friday, CRS Inspected the Doubling of the Bina-Kanjia Section (19.87 Km) in the Bhopal division of WCR as part of the Bina-Kota Doubling Project completed successfully. The Bina-Kota Doubling project is a Super Critical Project being executed by RVNL covering a total Length of 288.36 km sanctioned by the Railway Board in 2012. 

With this, 114 Kms of Doubling, Tripling has been commissioned by West Central Railway in 2021-22.

Doubling of the most challenging section of Bina- Mahadev kheri - Semarkhedi - Kanjia (19.87 kms) commissioned on 24.12.2021 with 100 kmph in Kanjia-Semarkhedi- Mahadev kheri UP line and at 90 kmph in Bina- Mahadev kheri DN line.

Highlights:
-4 Stations - Bina, Mahadev kheri, Semarkhedi and Kanjia
-1 Major Br, 12 minor bridge, 3 RUBs, 4 LCs
- 4 Gang cum tool rooms
- UP Longer loop at Semarkhedi
- DN Longer loop at Semarkhedi
-Tube well and pumphouse at 3 stations
- Completed all side drains in cuttings, approach of major bridge and in yards

Bina- 409 routes, Major RRI, Alterations done in existing system

Mahadev kheri - 139 routes, Big hard with 5 side train movements, alterations dine in existing EI

Semarkhedi -64 routes, new EI commissioned

Kanjia-17 routes, New EI commissioned

Electrical Works
-19.87 RKM electrified
- 3 new switching stations at Bina, Mahadevkheri, and Semarkhedi
- Alteration in existing switching station of Kanjia
-Lighting arrangements are done at new PFs of Semarkhedi & Kanjia

Special Highlights

* *Inauguration by CRS  :
- New garden ( green patch) of 88m × 12 m at island platform of Mahadevkheri
- Gang cum tool room at Mahadevkheri
- Handed over keys of all 4 gang cum tool rooms of all 4 gangs of the section
- Crew restroom at Mahadevkheri

* Development of circulating area at Semarkhedi

* Plantations done and flowers beds provided for greenery along with the fencing of Semarkhedi new end Mainline Platform. 

* Speed trial was done at 120 kmph
