Sabarmati Terminal will be the only Multimodal Transit Hub in Bullet Train Project
Mumbai: National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited's 508 km-long Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project will cover 12 stations along its route, once completely executed. However, in all other stations of the bullet train, the Sabarmati Terminal in Ahmedabad, Gujarat will be the only one to have a multimodal transit hub that will have the connectivity to bus transit points, Indian Railways, and the metro station as well.
The Sabarmati is chosen to be redeveloped because of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Limited (IRSDC).
This connectivity plan exists two Sabarmati stations - the Sabarmati station-meter gauge and the Sabarmati Junction station-broad gauge for easier passenger movement which will serve them better connectivity for the passengers.
